Bill Quiroga for District 5

A meeting was held this past weekend between Beau Rawlins and Bill Quiroga who are both running for mayor of Galveston.
“Mr. Rawlins and I have very similar points of view, Building a Future for Galveston. Beau and I have a great love for our city and we are in agreement that united we can come together to build a better future for Galveston, our citizens, and our business community.
For the past two (2) years Major Joe Jaworski has failed to listen to the people, failed the small business community and time after time demonstrated the very best in poor leadership, judgment and vision.
Our number one goal is to remove Mr. Jaworski from office and start the healing process.
We have come together and agreed that the best course of action is to support each other in our goal to restore Galveston to its greatness by working together.
I will be supporting Mr. Rawlins in his quest to be the next mayor of Galveston and with Mr. Rawlins support I will be redirecting my efforts by running for the fifth (5) district council seat. (Mr. Steve Greenberg has elected not to run.)," Bill Quiroga stated.
"I appreciate Bill's spirit and always looking out for what he feels is best for the Island. Mutual support for common goals that progress Galveston and provide for her community is what should be most important for all leaders of Galveston", Rawlins stated.
We stand together to “Build a future for Galveston” by listening to our constituents, building and developing our natural resources to benefit all of Galveston.
We need and are asking for your support.

    Verti Brate,

I am looking into all media outlets available.

I believe in keeping cost down, and this outlet is a good one. When I am elected to the District 5 seat this is the type of thinking that I will be directing through council to city staff. (Controlling expenses)

I plan to use donations in areas that will be beneficial and effective in getting out my message.

I will be placing my points of view on this site.

All comment good or bad are welcome.

  5. Thanks. Facebook is free and easy: you could easily have a campaign page that is separate from your personal page. You can have it where people friend you or just like the page. Some folks won't go to a separate blog on the web like this one, but will go all over facebook where they can visit many pages. Beau has a campaign page and a personal page. Having a facebook campaign page might help if you have young voters in your district.
